I have bought so many snow boots over the past few years since my feet get cold easily.I have tried at least 5 different name brands and in various sizes but yet my feet still get cold.
I must say these Sorel Glacier boots are definitely heavy duty for extreme temperatures.However these boots did keep my feet warmer than all other boots but my feet still got a bit cold.I do not blame this on the boots.I must have a bad circulation problem with my feet.
I got them in the mail and wore them on a multi-mile hike in snow the next day. And approximately 20 more miles of walking since with and without snowshoes. The broke in smoothly and painlessly, they remain waterproof and warmth was never in doubt. I would recommend that a second liner is purchased to allow one set of liners to dry out from perspiration. They are on the heavy side and bulky but if you plan on spending an entire day in snow and want to stay warm, these boots can’t be beat.

I absolutely love this boot. I just moved to Colorado and these boots have been perfect for tromping in the snow and taking my dog out on walks in. I usually chronically have cold feet however i’m not even the least bit cold in these. I would definitely recommend this boot to everyone!
Just the Best, But…
We have owned a pair of these boots for, probably, well over 20 years, as has the rest of my family. If you want warmth in real cold–these are just the BEST!!! Great for ice fishing, snow camping, snowmobiling, hunting, outdoor events which don’t require great exertion (ie: lots of standing around, such as, at youth events), extreme cold, emergencies, etc. I have chronically cold feet, but not in these! Tried a new pair on recently, except for being made in China now, seem pretty much the same as mine. Fit was a tad smaller, so might need a bigger size than in the past (We noticed this sizing issue with all Sorels made in China. We wish they were still made in Canada.). The only downside, which is to be expected, is that they are on the heavy-side. But, since they would be too warm to wear every day, even in the north country, that’s not much of a problem to us. We love these boots and would always want to keep a pair around for extreme cold conditions! My whole family agrees!

Boots are comfortable and very warm
These are very warm boots. And they are not slippery. I have a back injury and wanted something to keep me stable on my feet in the winter months. These worked fine walking across a large parking lot with many ice patches going to and from work, shoveling snow, and even cute enough to go shopping, although they did get warm. I have the hardest time finding boots/shoes that are comfortable (foot problems from years of standing on my feet at work) and these were quite comfortable. The only problem I had was the tag on the inside of boot rubbed side of leg, I just removed it and they’re fine now.
Great boots
I love these boots. I am a letter carrier in Central Pa. These boots keep my feet warm and dry while I deliver mail. They are light and comfortable too.

Warm and Keeps your feet dry
I work in Chicago and live in the suburbs. Therefore I take the train and walk about a mile to work everyday. I needed something that was warm and kept my feet dry. These definitely do the trick.

The price is actually decent because I can see getting a few winters out of these. At the very least 2-3.
Very Durable.
The con (which isn’t even a bad one):
Takes a few wears to break in and get used to. They are a little stiff at first, but not so stiff that you get blisters or they hurt your feet. They never hurt. It was just awkward walking in them the first 2-3 times while the waterproofed rubber broke in. I wear them every day and sometimes even forget to take them off.
They are pretty true to size, although it doesn’t seem that way when I first put them on. I am a size 10 and at first I thought they didn’t fit right, but once I wore them twice, they fit my foot perfectly.
There is an arch support in the boot, but it is not a very high one. If you require a high arch support you may want to purchase inserts.
If you need a boot that will keep your feet warm and dry, this is definitely a good buy.
Everyone’s preferences are different. But personally, I love these boots and plan on using them until they are in tatters.

Excellent Quality
These boots were excellent quality. They kept my son’s feet very warm in very cold and windy weather. His feet did not get wet or cold while tubing, airboarding, sledding and playing in snow. Being from Florida, he would of complained at the first chance about his feet being cold and he did not. Loved them!!! Well worth the money.
Wonderful
These boots are literary the best pair I’ve had in years. I live up north in NY state where in the winter it’s cold. Plus I work at a car wash and I’m around water all day. These boot keep my feet dry and warm all day. I’ve been working at the car wash for almost 5 years and till this day can’t believe that I found a good pair of boots.
Great for Winters
My wife bought me these boots for my birthday. Although we live in sunny California, we do travel to cold snowy places in winters. I just wore these while walking in the snow for the past few days (I often go off road with my digital camera). While walking to my knees in the snow, these boots have kept my feet warm and dry – I’m very impressed. They’re not too heavy but comfortable.

This is a great cold weather boot. Wear them for winter hiking, camping, or to a cold football game. There is a shorter, lighter, but not quite as warm version, the Sorel Timberwolf. Of course you should apply waterproofing to any boot such as Niwax. Finally, warm boots won’t help if you do not layer with good long underwear and hat or balaclava.
Bought these boots for my boyfriend
I purchased these boots as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. He actually went online and picked them out. He loves them and says they are very warm. The only thing he doesn’t like about them is the top part where the drawstring is. He says it rubs on the front of his leg and is annoying, but other than that, he has worn them already so often because of the smount of snow we have gotten so far.
