the pros outweight the cons
So far I’ve only worn these boots once, but I can make a pretty good pro/con list all the same:

Pros: cute, thick soles, lining throughout the leg part of the boot, easy to slip on, easy to walk in

Cons: top of the calf IS tight (although in fairness my calves are very muscular in a way probably not normal for a 5’5″, 145lb woman), the top of the foot over my arch was tight (I ordered a 1/2 size up, but also in fairness…I have a high arch), and my feet got cold after wearing them for a few hours (and in even MORE fairness, it was around 34 degrees F, pouring rain, and I was outside for 3 hours).

I ordered $20 rain boots in the past though, and I’d say these are worth the extra money you pay for them. Substantially better quality (no flimsy rubber sides or 1cm thick soles that fall out after wearing them once), and I they certainly are not uncomfortable enough to prevent me from wearing them on rainy days. Note to self though, wear thicker socks next time!

Definitely worth owning! Love the design, completely functional and comfortable, plus they are recyclable if that sad day comes. The fit was true to size for me in both the footbed and calves…plus room for socks and thinner jeans (my foot is just slightly under a true size 7, so I could see that if you are closer to a 1/2 size that going up a size would be beneficial).

Cold tested, parent approved
Thoughtful boot construction. For those of you with toddlers, the less difficulty in dressing, the more time we have for other matters! Having both a toggle cord and a front zipper make child dressing much easier-less difficulty getting feet in boot. As for colors-daughter loves the pink. As for warmth, no complaints of cold feet yet!

Forethought and Functionality
First of all let me say another flawless delivery. I ordered these just two or three days ago and they’re here. I checked this company out, its based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and yes, it would seem by all accounts that they really have been making boots for over one hundred years.
This is definitly a boot for activity, as indicated by the height of the sole and the boot’s overall height. The lacing system seems very secure, and there is room for loosening or tightening depending on individual size and preference. The 200 Gram Thinsulate lining I was probably the most wary of, but after having worn the boot outside in subfreezing tempretures, I can say that it’s probably the right choice, I didn’t shovel any snow at sub-zero yet, but I can tell that its going to be much warmer than what I’m used to.
To sum it up, in finding out more about the company, I feel that this boot is definitly a manifest of so many functional ideas engineered into the design, a great choice for anyone who might deal with the white stuff this winter.

Bargain
This is a great snow boot at a bargain price. However, don’t get the zipper version as it offers no adjustment. I sent those back and got these.

Warm and Comfy
With an unexpected bout of “global warming” this winter, these boots have been the perfect antidote. Sizing was perfect. Traction is great. I have been able to keep my feet warm and dry. I have used them for hikes in the woods and walks on the streets, both to my great satisfaction. A final note: I can still catch my grandkids while shod with them, but the race is becoming a close run thing. No buyer’s remorse here. I recommend these boots.
