Great Price and Does the Job
After suffering from cold toes in the high country (no snow, lows in the 9′s F) over Thanksgiving with wool socks and a pair of USAF boots I had, I decided to get some cold-weather insulated boots. My first call was a higher-priced brand name but saw these on sale at a local sporting goods store (Big 5). The ones I purchased are called the Blizzard 200 that has insulation and zipper along the side with laces. I love that zipper!!!

My next trip to the high country was about the same temperature but with eight inches of snow on the ground. These boots with good quality wool socks did the trick. I never had to double up on the socks and NEVER had a problem with cold toes. They cost about half as much as the other brand as well. They will slip on ice so those little yellow plastic thingies don’t really do the trick, but never slipped in the snow. I eventually forgot about them (read: light) and stopped worrying about where I was walking feeling confident the boots would keep my feet warm, dry and weep my sweaty feet.

I got boots that were once size bigger than my foot to accommodate heavy wool socks and a silk sock liner (not needed). I put these things through ‘heck’ and they didn’t even flinch. Highly recommended!!! They breath well and the only moisture on my socks were from my feet.

Great outdoor boot!
I bought this boot for my son who is outdoors a lot. He is very happy with them- they keep his feet warm and dry, even when he is snowmobiling.

Good Boot
I like this boot it very comfortable, very warm and lite in weight. Only thing the size isn’t wide enough for me so it took a little time to stretch out. The lace hooks could be a little hard to hook in at first, which just takes a little getting use too. Other than those few minor things I would recommend this boot to anyone.

Finally a pair of boots that keep me warm!
I live in western NY and the snow and the cold here can be brutal. I bought these boots a few months ago and have worn them for walks, hikes in the Adirondak Mountains, and to do things like snow removal after the last batch of February and March snow storms. Not only did my feet stay dry, they were WARM. After walking in slush, snow, and some muddy terrain (for hours!), they look brand new. The suede stayed dry in all of these conditions! The boots can be a little stiff at first, but after a few wears, they became more flexible. There is enough room for wool socks inside, but any pair of socks will do in these comfy warm boots. I love them and am glad that I spent the money. They also are a cute and I’ve worn them with my jeans tucked inside. A great buy and I’d recommend them to everyone.

Boot value
I brought three pairs of this boot for my wife and my two daughters for hiking in the Grand Canyon. They loved them, and they served their intended purpose well. The boot is light weight, but certainly not flimsy, requires little breaking in, and as with other Hi-Tec products, is an exellent value. Highly recommended.

Nice shoes
I am very happy with these shoes. Very well made and durable. I am using them for hiking and so far have been great. I can recomend these for people that need a nice, comfortable and well priced outside hiking boots.

The most comfortable boot I have ever worn.
I bought these boots just before a 2 week gold prospecting vacation in the high desert and they were the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. They did not require any break-in, are easy on and easy off, and provided excellent support, tho I did add arch supports. My feet never hurt or got too hot, a first! They were also reasonably priced and very attractive. Sizing may run on the small side – I usually wear 6-6 1/2 so bought 6 1/2 and they fit great. I would definitely recommend these to anyone and would buy again. I will be checking out other styles of the Hi-Tec brand

Camino De Santiago Star
This baby took me 550 miles across Northern Spain this march. I got ONE blister the entire time. The rest of the group were sitting down every night for the rite of blister-popping, while these boots kept my feet incredibly comfortable. Break them in before you go, but they’ll last you. After a trek that would have killed most boots mine are still fine. Buy these boots if you’re on the Camino, buy something like Asolos if you’re a masochist.

A great boot for the money
This is the second pair of Outlander hiking boots that I have owned. The first pair were simply worn out after two years of nearly everyday use. I went for a second pair because the first pair was so comfortable from day one, and my new pair are just as comfortable as the first pair.

These boots are also quite light in weight and the sole is fairly flexible. These boots are not waterproof but when they do inevitably get wet they retain their comfort and flexibility after they dry.

My Second Pair of These!!
These are easily the most comfortable and attractive hiking boots I’ve ever owned. They are wide and roomy, the leather is attractive, the soles are stout and they have a steel shank. They have taken me for many, many several-hour-long hikes with no blisters! My first pair of these boots were abused– I used them to clean dog runs with bleach, hiking in mud and snow, kicking chain link fences and frozen hoses, they were my daily footwear for almost two years while I worked at a dog kennel. They still had a lot of life left in them but I left them outside when it rained and decided it would be best to buy a new pair. My only gripe about these is that they are supposed to be waterproof but they aren’t if you’re hiking through puddles for more than a couple hours (a little waterprofing treatment would probably fix that problem but I’m lazy). Great boots though, I would never buy anything else after having a pair of these.

Great Boot
This is the second pair I’ve bought. The first pair I’ve had for over three years, wear almost daily and the only thing I’ve had to replace were the laces. Long lasting, earthly looking, well made and highly recommended.
