Camino De Santiago Star
This baby took me 550 miles across Northern Spain this march. I got ONE blister the entire time. The rest of the group were sitting down every night for the rite of blister-popping, while these boots kept my feet incredibly comfortable. Break them in before you go, but they’ll last you. After a trek that would have killed most boots mine are still fine. Buy these boots if you’re on the Camino, buy something like Asolos if you’re a masochist.

A great boot for the money
This is the second pair of Outlander hiking boots that I have owned. The first pair were simply worn out after two years of nearly everyday use. I went for a second pair because the first pair was so comfortable from day one, and my new pair are just as comfortable as the first pair.

These boots are also quite light in weight and the sole is fairly flexible. These boots are not waterproof but when they do inevitably get wet they retain their comfort and flexibility after they dry.

My Second Pair of These!!
These are easily the most comfortable and attractive hiking boots I’ve ever owned. They are wide and roomy, the leather is attractive, the soles are stout and they have a steel shank. They have taken me for many, many several-hour-long hikes with no blisters! My first pair of these boots were abused– I used them to clean dog runs with bleach, hiking in mud and snow, kicking chain link fences and frozen hoses, they were my daily footwear for almost two years while I worked at a dog kennel. They still had a lot of life left in them but I left them outside when it rained and decided it would be best to buy a new pair. My only gripe about these is that they are supposed to be waterproof but they aren’t if you’re hiking through puddles for more than a couple hours (a little waterprofing treatment would probably fix that problem but I’m lazy). Great boots though, I would never buy anything else after having a pair of these.

Great Boot
This is the second pair I’ve bought. The first pair I’ve had for over three years, wear almost daily and the only thing I’ve had to replace were the laces. Long lasting, earthly looking, well made and highly recommended.

Outstanding
I purchased these hiking boots for work. I am a paramedic and am required to wear black shoes/boots that can be polished. I am an advid boy scouter and enjoy hiking boots. Initially I was concerned about my online purchase since this was the only black hiking boot I found that I could polish. My concerns were quickly abolished after receiving this product. They are comfortable, fit perfect and work great on all surfaces. Following my first 12 hour shift wearing these boots, I did not notice any aches or pains from breaking them in. It was like I have worn them for months. I have recommended these boot for other medics in our communtiy and would recommend these to anyone in the EMS field. Extremely comfortable, waterproof, works well on all terrains and surfaces, cleans up great. Best pair of work boots I have purchased in my 16 years in the EMS field.

So far, so good.
I bought these to replace my beloved Trezeta’s that I can no longer find in this style. They came in 2 days and thankfully the fit is right on. I rarely buy shoes for myself over the net so I had some concern there. They do seem a little lighter than the Trezetas and seem to ventilate pretty will so far. The fit and support are also comparable. Can’t attest to any water proof virtues yet, but I will update if there is a problem there. Overall I’m very pleased with them after two days.

Great boots!
These are my favorite functional boots (boots I use outdoors – not party boots).
I do lots of hunting, fishing, camping, etc and these boots are great.
They’re comfortable, heavy duty, have held up great, and have great traction.
I highly recommend them.

Great boots for travel and general wear
These have been great boots. I am on my fourth pair of the Altitude series- a version I, version II, and now 2 version IVs. All have been good buys for me. The version IV have been the best but all have been good.

First, I have a high arch and have always been hard on any footwear with a tendency to walk on the ‘outside’ of my foot. I wear these boots to travel in and work in while traveling. Many a mile in airports, many miles on concrete, gravel, dirt, and inside simulation facilities. When I travel I tend to only take these boots – my work rarely requires dress clothes, the boots look good in an open collar work environment, they are comfortable, and taking only 1 pair of shoes does cuts down on packing requirements quite a bit for longer trips (3 weeks or longer in duration).

I have taken these boots on three overseas trips – they did well in the Scottish highlands (twice), and London. They did equally well on the beaches of Hawaii, Myrtle Beach, and Cancun. They have done me well in wet and sand – hot and cold.

To add to this endorsement, not only am I hard on shoes I am also quite fat these days – topping 300 pounds. For my health I maintain a walking routine of 1-3 miles a day whenever possible. When I travel, these boots are also my walking shoes.

In general Hi Tec have always fit me well. I go back 40 or so years to wearing the Lite series of Hi Tecs while I was in my running the Appalachians days. Given my high arches, a tendency for very bad calluses, rebuilt right ankle, 2 knees that varied doctors have wanted to cut on since early Army days, and now my weight I am very picky on shoes. These are the best of the Hi Tec boot types that I have found.

I suspect I have seen the best of my current set of boots – maybe six more months or so of regular wear till they become yard work shoes till their final demise. I have never worn out the uppers in these boots. I have worn the sole down to a smooth surface and worn out the insides (after using new insole inserts a couple of times). They are tough boots.

And I have a back up pair ready to take the place of the current set.

On a down side, these style of boots (in general, not just Hi Tec) are not sturdy enough for doing squats in Power Lifting circles. One needs a higher and stiffer boot than what the modern ilk of hikers provides. This is the only limitation I have found for these boots.

most comfortable shoes ever worn
I am very hard on soles and have finally worn these out after two years of hard use. These shoes do it all- look nice, keeps water out, and is the most comfortable I have ever worn. I am looking to get the exact same pair- but hard to find on sale anywhere but since the are so nice, they are worth the price.
