Love them
I have owned these boots for about three months now and they are my favorite pair of OTKs. I do find the heel of the boot slippery, I would agree with one of the reviewers on that. I have almost fallen a couple times, so if I know I am going to be walking on a slippery surface, I make sure that I concentrate my weight on the front part of my foot and I don’t have problems. I live in central Canada and there is a lot of ice here, and by walking more on my toes than on my heels, I do not slip at all.
I think that these boots are absolutely gorgeous and well-made. They are EXTREMELY comfortable. They have held up very well for me. I do not really have any complaints other than the slippery heel, so I’d definitely recommend them to others.
finally, a boot for long-legged women
I have tried on probably 15 pairs of flat, over-the-knee boots. I am 5’8″, 120 lbs. The problem with all of the other boots I have tried is that they are too short and hit me in the middle of the knee cap, rather than going over the knee. The other problem is that many of them are too wide in the calves and slip down on my chicken legs. I almost gave up on finding an over-the-knee boot to fit my frame, but then I tried these. They actually go over my knee, and the elastic in the back helps them stay up. I will probably still need to wear a thick pair of socks underneath to keep them from slouching too much, but that’s OK because I live in Wisconsin and I need thick socks for warmth, anyway! Oh, and the leather is like butter. Thrilled with these boots.
