These are the tuffest boots I have ever owned, still trying to break in after 4 mo. and wear every day.
They do seem to run small so order next size up from other western boots, or the same size if ordering based on shoe size you wear.

All Win and No Lose……
This boot is all good. There are no cons. It is solid, warm, fits great and feels awesome on the inside. The leather is high quality. The insulation works. It is actually waterproof (the leather under the tongue connects with the boot so there is no open slots for water to go through. I love it.
I have size 13 EE feet that are totally flat and this boot fit great. If you have big feet don’t hold back, go for it. If you have small feet, go for it too, just order the D model instead of the EE model. This shoe is quality all the way. And it is even made in the USA, which is always nice.
It seems like the kind of solid boot that you will own and wear for a decade or more. Its the kind of boot that you will replace the soles on when they wear out. It isn’t a cheap piece of junk like most of the “hiking” boots that are on the market today which are not designed to last. This boot is designed to last.
I give it 5 stars.

chippewa’s are great
I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas because my ex husband was hard on boots & Chippewa were the only ones that held up for him. Ny husband loves them. He said they are the most comfortable boot he has ever owned.
Heavy Duty!
Being in the military I know the importance of having great fitting footwear. There are military boots I’v worn for years that I’ll never replace but unfortunately getting back into the civilian workforce there are some criterias my boots needs to have to work safely in an environmental industrial field. One is steeltoes. I have tried numerous types that I won’t name (still good boots but not for me) and usually the problem is the fitment and the steeltoe itself.
All I can say is that this pair of boots fits like a glove. Usually with steeltoes the problem I have is either the toes r too tight or too wide and the steel itself digs into the top of my feet. These doesn’t. I barely feel the steeltoe. The inside is nicely cushioned and hugs your feet nicely. The soles have great traction. Walking through wet floors, mud, dirt, etc. is cake. It also has good ankle support. Nice and firm.
Only thing I can think of that is somewhat of a downer is that these boots are a bit heavy. That’s not a big problem, though, coz after a day or two you’ll be used to the weight.
This is my first pair of Chippewa boots and so far since I’ve had it for over a month it has been good. I sometimes just wear it when going out not just for work(with a good cleaning of course). All in all, its a great pair. I will be buying again when the time comes!!
